Let’s celebrate the Art of Maine Beer! Welcome to the third post in a multi-week series showcasing talented artists and their amazing can designs for Maine’s world-class beers. Huge thanks to Evergreen Credit Union (@Evergreen CU) for supporting this series and Maine Breweries!
Our next artist is Laura Bramley (@_laurafelina), the talent behind the art for Camp Beer – Crisp Session Ale from @Definitivebrewing. Laura’s design warmly wraps the beer with a camp scene on Cobbosseecontee Lake in Manchester, Maine. The lake has special ties to the Definitive team, and the label wonderfully presents the beauty of a night up at camp enjoying a can of Camp Beer.
Passionate for art from a young age, Laura is actively involved in painting, illustrating, and hand lettering. In the years after high school, she put huge effort into teaching herself digital art and graphic design. For a decade, Laura also worked at the @Greatlostbear, where she was exposed to a strong culture of craft beer. In 2018, she took a job in the Definitive Brewing tasting room. That year, she also designed her first can art for @BandedBrewing. Now, Portland-based Laura has worked her way into a design and marketing career with Definitive, has created over 100 labels for the brewery, and is currently working with other Maine breweries on new releases.
Pictured are just a few of Laura’s creations for Definitive Brewing, @BathBrewing, and @Brickyardhollowbrewing. She completed her first mural (seen at Bath Brewing) this summer.
Laura wants to shoutout another excellent artist Allie Norman (@girlthatdesigns). Allie has done some incredible work for @belleflowerbrewing. Check out our last post for more info on Allie!
