Riverton Rail<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Greater Portland is lucky to have over 70 miles of public trails thanks to Portland Trails<\/a>, and most are pet friendly.

The Riverton Rail Trail runs along the train tracks through the woods of the Riverton neighborhood. Be on the lookout for the spot where the trail crosses over Dole Brook (a small brook that runs to the Presumpscot River), and be sure to stop at the Steven Aylward memorial kiosk for the history of the trail and the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
